Don’t forget about the Switch!

Every month, we spend time cleaning the house. But are we cleaning everything? One of the things which constantly get ignored are the switchboards. We may not realise but the surface of these switches are one of the dirtiest places in your house.  With our daily use, the amount of oil and dirt that get trapped in these switch over time could pose as health risks.

Here are a few steps to follow to help you keep your switchboards clean on a regular basis:

Step 1 - Turn off the power from the Distribution Board

Step 2 - Use microfibre cloth to damp the switch plates with rubbing alcohol

Step 3 - Wipe switch plates and surrounding walls properly

Step 4 - If still dirty, use cotton bud to get into the crack and crevices of the switchboard

Step 5 - Use another microfiber cloth to thoroughly dry the switch board

Step 6 - And finally turn on the switch from the distribution board and start using it

It’s time to incorporate cleaning your switches to your regular cleaning rituals. Hygiene and cleanliness of your house is directly related your health as the amount of time spent at home is comparative more than other places.
