Don't forget about the switch!

Every month, we spend time cleaning the house; but are we cleaning everything? One of the things which constantly gets ignored is the switchboards. We may not realize it, but the surface of these switches is one of the dirtiest places in your house. With our daily use, the amount of oil and dirt trapped in these switches could pose health risks.

Here are a few steps to follow to help you keep your switchboards clean regularly:

  • Turn off the power from the Distribution Board.
  • Use a microfiber cloth to damp the switch plates with rubbing alcohol.
  • Wipe switch plates and surrounding walls properly.
  • If still dirty, use a cotton bud to get into the crack and crevices of the switchboard.
  • Use another microfiber cloth to dry the switchboard thoroughly.
  • And finally, turn on the switch from the distribution board and start using it.

It's time to incorporate cleaning your switches into your regular cleaning rituals. Your house's hygiene and cleanliness are directly related to your health as the amount of time spent at home is comparatively more than the other places.
